For those that are unaware, we hold a monthly meeting, every first Friday of every month.
At these meetings we discuss our future venues, and ways to improve the club, thoughts and opinions of members.
We are the only club run by the members, and not by a "committee". This way we are assured to stay on a fun and friendly path.
All members become good friends, and enjoy fly fishing beside one another, we also welcome new members!
As our most recent members, Steve Elliott & Steve Gildart have shown, we are a friendly and welcoming bunch, who want nothing more than to enjoy fishing with fellow nomads.
Our next venue will be held at curleys trout fishery, on the 3rd of November, Sunday. The following coming weeks venues will be discussed at the meeting.
For details on our upcoming sessions, email the nomads or email the manager directly.
nathj89@icloud.com
Just pop along to our next monthly meeting or next session to meet a few of us, to see what NW Nomads is all about!

Bank House fly fishery 27/10/13
Not a great forecast for Sunday, with heavy rain and strong winds foreseen.
A few nomads turned up to brave the conditions with one angler in particular doing very well! - Fellow nomad and top angler Jim McGinley, over the course of a 8 hour ticket, landed 12 trout.
Most members managed between one and four trout to their net, so Jim did very well indeed and had a very successful session.
Weather wise, the wind came and went, but remained steadily strong from midday onwards, swirling our lines as we chucked some fluff.
Two nice sizeable trout were caught over the course of this session, with Jim McGinley and Steve Elliott leading the way.
Below shows a photo of a cracking bow at 5lb 4oz, taken by Steve Elliott!
Good angling nomads!
Todays top patterns
1. Orange blob (effective best under a indicator allowed to drift around in the 30mph wind.
2. CDC Hopper (took the biggest fish of the day, at 5lb 4oz)
3. Pink snake! (fast becoming an effective fly across the north west for the daft stockies!!)
Thanks for all those that came, and If you want to join us for a session to see what us nomads are all about simply email myself directly, for more information.

Bank House fly fishery...
Weather Forecast Prediction : Rain, Strong 30mph SW winds, never the less rather warm with highs of 13 degrees.
Tomorrow we visit the renowned Bank House Fly Fishery...
Arriving at 8:30am and finishing at 4pm, for trophies and top rod announcement.
Good prospects predicted with some excellent catches at the venue as of late, some very large brownies waiting to be captured by a fellow nomad!
Indicators will no doubt play a big part in fishing Bank House, as always, its often difficult to regulate your fly or flies depth. The most effective way on a small water such as Bank House is to present your chosen pattern under a indicator.
Get those eggs and black buzzers at the ready!!
Pink eggs always does well as an alternative pattern, if all else fails at this venue, so make sure you grab yourself a few in the tackle shop.
On our previous visits we had a great few sessions with the most memorable being a 9lb Rainbow caught to a cruncher caught by Nathan Jones (see pic 1.1)
A stunning little brown caught by member Gary Stanley (see pic 1.2).
As well on our most recent visit, a beautiful tiger trout Caught by fellow nomad, Aaron Carnie (see pic 1.3).
Tightlines & roll on Sunday 27th October session!
