Next Outing
Greetings Nomads.
This coming Sunday, 2nd March, we are returning to the diverse venue that is Mere Beck. The weather forecast is looking promising and the barometer is slowly rising - this should bring the trout higher in the water and feeding closer to the surface. It might even bring on a reasonable hatch?
The Lancashire Evening Post are sending a photographer out to take a few shots, some of which are to used in a feature article. It will be a great promotion for the club to endorse our ethics and future plans for corporate events and a young fishers club. So Sunday best Nomads 'glad-rags' to be on show.

Barnsfold Outing 16-02-2014
With the recent run of bad weather we found ourselves returning to a much liked venue.Tough going today at Barnsfold. With the recent weather playing havoc with their feeding patterns the trout had gone down deep and behaving with an element of lethargy.
With patience being the best option to find the fish, top rod today was our Secretary Steve Elliott with 6 fish including the only Brownie. His tactic was to sit eggs deep and close to the bottom and wait for the gentle take.
In-spite of the trout not being in the mood the weather was kind and all the Nomads found fish. Good angling chaps!!
