Our First Session of the year!
Off to a flying start to the year folks, members coming in thick and fast, when the club first started i was "recruiting" members, asking anglers to come join us, now with a large growth in popularity, anglers are requesting to join our ranks. Of course all are welcome, we do not restrict ourselves to large or small waters. We fish many a different venues, including some top quality large reservoirs, to interesting and different venues such as this one..... Mere Beck fly fishery.
Mere beck consists of running and still water, and is in essence an artificial river system. So it can make for a very interesting and fun day out on the bank.
Heres a shot taken from Mere Becks website.... Very beautiful place.

Mere Beck Fly Fishery
Now to results, although i did not attend personally due to a chest infection i can tell you i was strongly notified of an excellent day had by all Nomads who attended!
Not one nomad disliked his trip here, with a growing popularity Mere Beck is on its way up the ladder of fisheries in its area.
The new stocking policy, regular, different sizes, ranging to 10lb+ is without a doubt grabbing anglers attention from across the UK.
Get down to Mere Beck fly fishery, to have a cracking day out....
A stunning place to visit in spring, with out a doubt, must arrange another session there soon!!

North West Nomads - AGM (annual general meeting) 2015
North West Nomad Fly Fishing Club UK
Lots discussed including re-appointing our committee, of which everyone had their say and vote. Its great to see such a committed group, we had an expansion of members back in mid 2014, with
seven or eight friends joining us, with the committed members remaining by us as we chose to enter into fly fishing competitions as a club and more. However after the meeting with the majority of members present, we have come to the conclusion that although a good percentage of us wish to enter competitions, not all of us wish to do so. So competitions although great fun, will be more of a side line this year gents and ladies. Concentrating on FUN, FRIENDS & FISHING. Which is the basis of the original starting of the club, which came about just over a year ago.
Newly appointed Committee members consist of the following:
Chairman 2015 - Mr Steven Moffat
Secretary 2014/15 - Mr Steven Elliot
Treasurer 2014/15 - Mr Jim McGinley
Full list of committee members will shortly be on our website after a fully fledged revamp. A modern look website update, simple and easy to navigate, less clutter and more info & news!!
Thanks to all those that attended the AGM 2015, our first AGM since starting up a season ago. The club has come on in leaps and bounds and continues to grow, not only in size, but with members becoming excellent friends, both in and out of the club.
2014 has been an excellent year, with the main aim of our club coming back into focus.
NW NOMADS
