Foxhouses trout fishery

A few Nomads chose to brave the rather wet and windy conditions!

On arrival the wind was howling, and it was very cold, but us nomads pulled through and we ended on a high with plenty of fish caught throughout the day.
Apologies for the late post, but we have been busy here at North West Nomads HQ!
Lots developing for 2014, with the hope of sponsorship deals in the pipeline, amoungst other things such as over night stays at rutland & blithefield reservoir.

Back to Foxhouses! this was our 4th return, its a keen favorite of us Nomads. Crystal clear waters, and slimmed down winter trout, that fight like demons!!

No specific top pattern on the day, lures mostly, snakes as always, even one trout to a dry!

This venue is well worth a visit, and all the details are on our website (see below for link.)

A Blustery day at Foxhouses, with a lovely feature in the form of an island central to the lake.

Below is a couple of photos, of fish caught, you can see they are ready for spring! need a few chronomidae to fatten them up. Regardless of their weight, they all fought really well, with 99% of the fish holding strong full tails.

Although this Venue was visited almost two weeks ago now, its a case of better late than never as regards to this blog!

However back to the normal, with another blog going up this weekend after our trip to Barnsfold
[Details of this venue can be found on our website]
